Flower Gift Korea is Now Two Years Old

I just wanted to share a post, a reflection on finishing two years with Flower Gift Korea! We are officially on our third year and things are going pretty darn well. I wrote about passing one year last August, well the post was written in August 2017, but my business anniversary for Flower Gift Korea is April 1st, which is when we launched the website. But we didn’t share about the website and how we were in business anywhere online until April 4th, which is when we shared about Flower Gift Korea on my personal Facebook page timeline. And that is when we made our very first sale! Literally, the day I posted about Flower Gift Korea being in business on my Facebook page, I received my very first sale. I actually recorded a podcast about making my first sale in my past and current businesses on a past Marketing

1. Go to at least 3-4 networking events and hand out at least 50 Flower Gift Korea business cards to 50 different people before the end of the month: I was at a total of 3 networking events. One was held at the Seoul Global Startup Center and I was able to network with some people in Seoul. It was nice to go, but it wasn’t easy networking there since a lot of the people there weren’t really there to network, or maybe they were and just felt comfortable chatting to the same two people the whole networking time. But I still managed to meet close to 10 different people there and handed them my business card. The second event was a Seoul Real Estate

How I grew my Business Network in Korea from my Home

My perfect vacation includes a really nice hotel by the beach and unlimited access to food and drinks, and that’s it. I don’t need to go to fun places, or do fun water sports, or visit historical monuments. I’m good just chilling in an air-conditioned room and going to the beach for a bit, and maybe visiting a few places here and there, if the places aren’t very far. Yup, I’m pretty boring if you really get to know me, so I don’t really go out to many events, except for the ones I have to go to, like weddings, family gatherings, etc. That is why it is a challenge for me to attend networking events in Seoul, South Korea. But I attend them as much as I can because I know how important it is as an entrepreneur to grow your network, with all types of people in different

1. Really figure out Amazon: I still haven’t uploaded any products to Amazon, but I am waiting to hear back from Amazon handmade, which is the section that allows for handmade objects to be sold on Amazon. I have applied and I should be hearing back within a few days. So Flower Gift Korea may or may not be accepted as a seller on the Amazon handmade platform.
2. Upload the maximum products I’m allowed on Ebay: I uploaded 5 more products to Ebay. They do get some views from potential buyers, but Ebay really isn’t my thing, but it’s something. And something is better than nothing, at least that’s what I believe.
3. Email every single past/present customer about changes made with

Helping My Family Business in Canada From Korea

*The feature image has nothing to do with my family business, except for the fact that it is an image of the Canada Goose.
So a few years ago, I remember having a conversation with my mother and father over Skype. I have been skyping my parents every Saturday or Sunday for as long as I could remember to keep in touch, since I’m in Korea and they are in Canada. And I told them that I would make a website and social media accounts for their convenience store business. Their store sold what most convenience stores sold, plus flowers during warmier weather, and rented out DVDs. Yup, people in Canada are still renting DVDs. But, my mother was really against it. I’m not sure if it was because it invaded her privacy or because she was afraid it could negatively affect the business, but in the end, I didn’t go

Teaching English in Korea – My Door to Korea

Teaching English in Korea has been a job that people from all around the world with different goals and backgrounds have done. Teaching English in Korea is quite dear to my heart, because it allowed me to have the opportunity to come to my parents’ origin country and get paid to do something that I already enjoyed doing. I first came to teach in Korea in 2007 with EPIK, which is a program that hires Native English Teachers for provinces outside of Seoul. At the time, I just wanted to learn more about my culture, and to be honest, I needed to do something for the time being because I didn’t get into teacher’s college when I first applied.
I really enjoyed teaching English in Korea at that time because I was living in Cheonan, which is outside of Seoul and I was really being immersed in the culture because there
